Do you think you can whip up the best gumbo in the South?
The Gumbo Shootout at the Shrine is a fundraising event that helps to support out local Shrine Temple in continuing to raise funds for the Shriner's Hospital's for Children.
In this competition, you will be competing against other Gumbo connoisseur's alike to see if you have what it takes to be the best gumbo cook in Pensacola. You will be competing against multiple other gumbo teams and will be able to choose either seafood or chicken/sausage category to compete in.
FOR THE PUBLIC, We will be selling wristbands for $20. People’s Choice is voted on with tokens. Each person purchasing a Wrist Band will be given one token for voting. Additional tokens can be purchased for $5.00 for voting. (Remember this is a fundraiser for Hadji Shrine, so the more tokens the better!!!) Children under 12 will be admitted free of charge.
